Paul is a recognised leader in the Australian GIS and IT community with more than 22 years’ extensive experience, both in Australia and internationally. Paul holds qualifications including a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and an Executive MBA from UWA (University of Western Australia); and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from ANU (Australian National University). He also completed an Austrade management development program in the Asia-Pacific region.
From 1996-2000, Paul was based in the Asia-Pacific region and established the NGIS operations internationally. He was able to successfully weather the Asian Financial Crisis, continuing to win and manage many projects in the Asia-Pacific region.
After returning to Perth in 2000, Paul’s entrepreneurial, business acumen and successes was recognised by being a winner of the WA Business News 40 under 40 awards and a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Paul is currently the Managing Director of NGIS Australia and a board member of the Australian Information Industry Association, as well as being a past National Chairman of the Spatial Industry Business Association.
Paul is strategic thinker who has a passion for seeing how far spatial information can change business and society for the better.
Paul is a frequent and sought after keynote speaker at industry conferences and events.
