Hack Contest

  • GeoNext was excited to run a hack contest in conjunction with GoGet¬†and HERE.

The competition  kicked off with a launch event at GoGet HQ on Saturday 1st February, followed by 3 weeks of development time leading up to GeoNext 2014, with the finalists invited to present their ideas at the GeoNext conference. Below are some pics of the launch event:

    The competition

GoGet are already conducting some fairly detailed analyses on their datasets, as we heard during the keynote address at GeoNext 2014.

But they were keen to see what else could be done with their valuable datasets. There were no specific guidelines for the hack contest – entrants were free to use the GoGet and HERE datasets to create the most compelling demo, application or visualisation.

    Finalists

Here are the finalists, who were invited to give a 3 minute presentation on their entry. View the slides on SlideShare to see a detailed description of each entry.
